In the thermal spray
coating, powder, wire or stripe forms of a variety of
materials such as ceramic (AI2O3, AI2O3/TiO2, CrO3, ZrO2
,TiO2...) metal and metal alloys (Mo,Ni ,Cu , Ni/Cr, Ni,Cr,
B, Si ), Cermet (ceramic-metal) (MgZrO3/Ni Cr...),
carbide( WC/Co, WC/Co/Cr, Cr3C2....) are used as coating
material. The materials melt in the environments with
flammable and combustible gases.
They are sprayed onto
the material to be coated in such speed caused by the
high pressure of the carrier gas.
The resultant perfect
diffusion obtained between the part to be coated and the
coating layer allows obtaining high metallurgic binding.
Using Plasma Spray, HVOF, PTA and Flame Spray
methods, which are the latest
coating systems, KOBATEK gets excellent results on worn
and new surfaces even in thickness of 0,5-10 mm, coating
hardness of 350-2400 Hv10 and surfaces even roughness of
0,02-0,1 mm.
In accordance with the
operating conditions/enviroment of the coated part and
using the state-of-the-art systems in the coating
department, final products with following
characteristics are produced:
*Thick/porous
*Electrically conducting/insulating
*Thermally conducting/insulating
*At desired hardness
*Resistant against thermal shock
*High wear and tear(erosion, corrosion, abrasion, etc.)
resistance. In this way, not only the characteristics of
the original parts are preserved, but also superior
parts are obtained from the old ones.
